St George's Choir

Our Parish Choir leads us beautifully in sung worship each week at our 9.30am Eucharist Service, with the exception of the 1st Sunday of the month.  The choir takes the traditional form of SATB (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) and current numbers are around 14 singers.

In addition to weekly worship, our choir sings at numerous special services throughout the year both at St George’s and St Nicholas. The choir is fortunate to have an extensive music library, which is being added to, and the choir enjoys working with a wide range of the church and cathedral repertoire from the renaissance to the present day, both accompanied and unaccompanied.

We have created storng links with other church choirs which allows us to join together for special occasions, singing evensong here in St Georges or in their churches.  We have also sung altogether in Rochester cathedral, with further trips planned for the future.

We have a diverse choir with the treble part of our choir sung by boys, girls and ladies.  The alto line is also mixed, and gentlemen make up the tenor and bass parts.

We welcome any and all new members to come and join us.   If you would like to find out more, please contact our Director of Music:
