Pancake Party It is the custom for Christians all around the world to see Shrove Tuesday as a time to let their hair down & have fun & to feast on pancakes before the seriousness of Lent commences the next day.  So not wanting to break with tradition, there will be a pancake party in the Parish Centre on Tuesday 21st February at 7pm.  There will be games & quizzes, food & fun, and the chance to come together once again as the family of God. Tickets for this brilliant evening are available from

Fr Darren & Lorraine.  Adults £2, Children £1, Family tickets £5.

CHILDREN’S SOCIETY BOXHOLDERS  It’s that time of year again!  Please bring your box to church for emptying before the end of February.  If you would prefer me to visit or collect, just let me know.  Many thanks.  Rachel Phillips, 01438 228251.

NORTON PARISH MUSIC GROUP   If you have a real heart for worshipping the Lord, using your musical skills, either playing a musical instrument or singing, then join the Norton Parish Music Group.  We will practice weekly, probably on a Monday evening, and will lead the singing on the first Sunday of the month, using a variety of old and new worship songs.

For further details speak to Susan Taylor.

Calling all singers!  The new parish choir choir practises on Fridays at 8—9 p.m. at St Georges Church.  If you enjoy singing and want to help lead the congregation in worshiping God on a Sunday morning once a month as part of a robed choir then you are most welcome.  If you've not sung in a choir before or can’t read music, don’t let that put you off.  Just come to as many practices as you can during February and see how it works out for you.  For further details, please speak to either

Fr Darren,  Keith Sparrow, Tim Vickers or Tim Croot.

PALM CROSSES  If anyone has a palm cross from last year could they bring it in so it can used as ashes for the Ash Wednesday Service
