A Prayer of Hope

Where expectation collides with belief and

Aspirations rest in the trust of Your love,

Lord in HOPE we pray:

We pray for healing, not horror,

For happiness, not hatred,

For harmony, not hostility.

Lord in HOPE we pray:

We pray for optimism, not opposition,

For opportunity, not offence,

For openness, not oppression.

Lord in HOPE we pray:

We pray for the positives, not pessimism,

For possibilities, not precarious problems,

For peace, not persecution.

Lord in HOPE we pray:

We pray for entitlement, not exclusion,

For empathy, not emptiness,

For equilibrium, not extremes.

Lord in HOPE we pray,

Amen
